Comparisons of Web Hosts, Articles, and Coupon Codes
Also known as virtual hosting service or derive hosting, shared Web hosting is a service where several Websites are connected to the Internet by the same server. If you imagine a banquet hall, each site has its own place card at the table. With shared Web hosting, the expense of maintaining the server is shared by numerous people. This makes the shared Web hosting more cost effective.
Because it is used by many people, shared Web hosting must have a system administration. This is a good deal for people who do not need to develop specialized softeware, but for those who like to be large and in charge; this system doesn’t always work so well. This group would include people who need a lot of outside software developed. All other applications are fine with shared Web hosting and it is cheaper than a dedicated server would be. Keep in mind that there are usage limits to the shared hosting system setup.
Furthermore, the responsibility for the maintenance and updates to the shared Web host belongs to the administrator. They generally use a control panel system such as the cPanel. Some of the larger shared Web hosting sites uses a control panel which they have developed themselves. Friction and lawsuits occur when a company tries to sell its control panel because some of its operating programs may be too similar to another company’s patent.
With this in mind, the United States has many shared Web hosting providers available to choose from. They come in all different sizes and corner all different segments of the market. Some shared Web host solutions are private and use what is called cooperative hosting. Name-based and IP-based are the two main methods of setting up shared Web hosting sites. Which ever method they use, shared Web hosting provides service to multiple customers for less money.

Does anyone think that a shared hosting package will be good enough for an ecommerce store, or should I go VPS/Dedicated?
